可有可无

This painting is titled, “Dispensable”.

可有 (kě yǒu): You may have it.
可無 (kě wú): You may not have it.
可有可無 (kě yǒu kě wú): Dispensable.

I turned my personal experience into a typographical painting.

There are some experiences that happened at every phase of my life and to depict this emotion I felt during these phases, I fitted the characters into a cube. These phases are a vicious cycle. So you may ask why not use a circle since it is a cycle but instead I chose a cube? The shape and clean cut of a cube represents the viciousness. Also, just like cube has 6 equal sides, it represents the repetitive nature of this particular emotion.
